My mom's condition has worsened since my last post and while she was making progress in December, her condition started to decline around Christmas and has become progressively worse. She has been diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia and in her current condition and age it is not treatable. At the doctor's suggestion, I have started hospice care for mom in addition to the care she receives at the nursing center.
This has not been an easy time for me, especially being on only child, and I can't say enough how much I have appreciated all the love and support of my family and friends, both here and far away.
